Polk County Veteran Services Talks About New PACT Act
Fosston, MN — Polk County Veterans Service Officer Kurt Ellefson joined the KKCQ Food for Thought Program this week to share information to Veterans about the PACT Act. The PACT Act is a new law that expands VA healthcare and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances. Ellefson says this new law passed by congress adds new presumptive conditions to those exposed to toxic substances during the Vietnam, Gulf War, and post 9/11 eras.
Again, contact your local County Veteran Service Officer for more information. Ellefson notes that the Polk County Veteran Service Offices will be closed this coming Monday through Wednesday for training.
