Public Reading of New Testament to Take Place in Fosston this Weekend
Fosston, MN — Join the Calvary Free Lutheran Church and many others in a Public Reading of the New Testament this Saturday and Sunday, July 9th and 10th at the East Polk Heritage Center in Fosston. The reading will begin at 9am on Saturday and go until about 8pm and begin again on Sunday at 12noon and wrap up sometime between 6 and 8pm depending on the speed of the readers. Kathy LaVoy says they are doing so with the hope of spreading good news during a time of turmoil.
A similar event has been held in Blackduck for the past decade and LaVoy notes that it seems to have made a positive impact on the community.
Everyone is welcome to participate, according to Dick Roux of Calvary Free Lutheran Church. You can either make a picnic out of the event with family and follow along or volunteer to read some yourself as well.
To volunteer to read or for more information, contact Kathy at 218-435-1653 or Dick at 218-686-6797.
