Fargo, ND — With the sugarbeet prehaul getting underway, the Red River Valley Sugabeet Growers Association is campaigning hard to encourage folks to consider helping out our area farmers by signing on to work the main sugarbeet haul later this fall and make some good money doing it. The main fall campaign gets underway around October 1st and Harrison Weber, Executive Director of the Red River Valley Sugar Beet Growers Association, says it takes thousands of seasonal employees to get the crop out of the ground and to the factory.

Truck driving jobs make up a strong majority of the positions that farms are looking to fill and there are hundreds of gigs available up and down the Red River Valley. In just a two week time frame, drivers can make up to $4,000, but it varies from farm to farm and the amount of hours you are willing to put in. Weber notes that the best part is you don’t need any experience or special licenses, just a good attitude and willingness to learn.

Weber adds that the sugarbeet industry is a major part of the local economy and by taking part in the sugarbeet harvest, you are doing your part to contribute to the local communities that rely heavily on that crop getting to the factory.
