Riverwood Healthcare presents newest projects to Aitkin City Council

(Aitkin, MN) — At the March 21st Aitkin City Council meeting, Tom Mayfield from the National Healthcare Academy and Riverwood Healthcare CFO Casey Johnson were on hand to discuss their upcoming projects at the Aitkin Hospital and the City’s role in the future.

Johnson went into further detail on a two-part plan starting with a remodel of the Aitkin Hospital surgical wing.

The McGregor facility is also in need of adjustments to building layout, to which new land will be part of the project.

The construction timeframe for both projects would take a similar amount of time.

The project cost would be along similar totals as well.

Mayfield also jumped in about the City’s role in generating funds for the project and its long term benefits.
