RN Helstrom promoted at CRMC
Registered Nurse Cathline Helstrom of Staples was recently promoted to Executive Director of Quality, Learning, and Experience at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.
In her new position, Helstrom will oversee CRMC’s Quality, Medical Staff Credentialing, and Education departments. She will assist in managing and directing special organization projects, be involved in strategic planning and organizational wide goals, assist in the creation of a culture of safety across the organization, and will partner in creating and maintaining a high reliability organization.
Helstrom has been CRMC’s Director of Quality since 2019 when she came to the Crosby Medical Campus from St. Gabriel’s Health in Little Falls where she worked as Director of Quality, Patient Safety and Risk Manager. She has also worked as a nurse manager at Lakewood Health System and as a personal safety technique trainer and Licensed Practical Nurse for the Minnesota Neurorehabilitation Hospital. She started her healthcare career in 2004 as a Housing Assistant at Hallett Cottages.
The Executive Director holds a Master’s degree in Nursing Leadership and Organization Management and Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from American Sentinel University in Colorado. She earned a Diploma in Nursing at Central Lakes College. She is certified as an Executive in Nursing Practice through the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
