Rydell and Glacial Ridge National Wildlife Refuge Christmas Bird Count
The Rydell and Glacial Ridge National Wildlife Refuge welcomes you to attend the Annual Christmas Bird Count of Thursday, December 14. Rydell and Glacial Ridge Refuge Manager Gregg Knutsen tells us more about this bird watching event
Even though a lot of Minnesota birds have migrated for the winter, Knutsen says there are still plenty of seasonal birds to see on the Refuge.
This event is free to attend but the refuge asks that you RSVP by December 8 so that they can get a head count. You can RSVP by calling Refuge Wildlife Biologist Ben Walker at 218-230-5563. Binoculars and bird books will be available for those who do not have them.
