Rydell National Wildlife Refuge Extends Youth Hunt registration deadline 

The Rydell National Wildlife Refuge announced that they will be extending the registration deadline for their annual youth hunt that takes place on October 28 and 29. The original sign up day has already passed but now they will be accepting registrations till Friday, October 13. Refuge Manager Gregg Knutsen discusses the youth hunt and why it was started. 

Knutsen also explained why the sign up deadline was extended. 

There are some requirements that need to be met in order to partake in the youth hunt. All hunters have to complete their firearm safety classes and be 12 to 15 years old.   All youth will also have to be supervised by an adult and attend a three hour orientation that will take place at the Rydell Refuge on Sunday, Oct. 22.
