Grand Forks, ND — Safe Kids Grand Forks will hosting a free Home Safety Training on March 23rd from 9am until 4:30pm via Zoom. This training consists of many of their partners giving their time and expertise to sure those conducting home visits or providing home safety education are providing the most up to date information and aware of all the available resources. One of the topics being presented on is Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Amy Covington of Safe Kids Grand Forks says carbon monoxide has greater impacts on children versus adults.

Carbon monoxide isn’t just an issue to worry about in home. Covington says it could become an issue in your car should you end in up in a ditch or offroad.

With Daylight Savings occurring this coming weekend, it would be a good time to check or replace the batteries in your carbon monoxide and smoke detectors.

Other topics discussed during the Safe Kids Grand Forks Home Safety Training include falls, choking, suffocation, strangulation, water & drowning, firearms and drugs, poisoning, and other household dangers.
