School Resource Officer Legislative update 

The Minnesota Legislative Session kicked off on Monday, and one subject that has taken the forefront of this year’s session is the reworking of the school resource bill from last year that caused many law enforcement agencies across the state to pull their officers from schools. Minnesota State Representative for District 04B Jim Joy says he was confident in a new bill, but progress has stalled. 

Joy said School Resource Officers are important in schools for more than just safety, and hopes a new deal will be reached soon.
