Soybean Growers Give Shoes Made With Soybeans

Employees at Halstad Living Center and Benedictine Mission Court in Ada received a gift Monday.  A pair of Skechers Go shoes was given out by Minnesota Soybean and the Norman County Soybean and Corn Growers Board.  Lori Ann Hartel, county representative for Minnesota Soybean, says part of these shoes are made with soybean oil.

Hartel says Minnesota soybean growers are generous with giving away shoes.

The soles in the Skechers shoes are made by Goodyear with soybean oil.  In fact, Goodyear makes eight lines of soy-based tires.
