Over in Littlefork the Jackpine Savage 12U team have been competing in their first summer season as a team. I had the opportunity to interview 4 of the players who are on the team, and they were a little shy at first but they are
So I asked them what was their favorite part about playing softball.
Then, Ellie Wendt of the 16/18U team had mentioned this being the 12U team’s first season together when I had asked about the biggest struggle the girls faced this summer.
So do they have a favorite position?
And what about their least favorite?
Before my interview with the 12U team, I had players from the 16/18U team in the studio. Ellie Wendt, Alexis Carriveau, and KamBree Gustafson came in and talked about the season and how it’s going.
So far, have there been any big lessons and takeaways from this summer season?
I then asked how the summer season compares to Spring softball.
They also talked about some of the players on the team, both younger and older, who’ve made an impact on the team.
Lastly, what has been the biggest improvement they believe they made from the start of the season to now?
The Jackpine Savage 12U play again on July 17th against Lake of the Woods, and the 16/18U team play on July 18th against the Ice Cats.
