The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the man from Gardner who died in a motorcycle accident over the weekend near Killdeer. 71-year-old Gene Schepp died last Saturday when he failed to make a curve on Highway 22 north of Killdeer and overturned. Schepp died from his injuries.

A Fosston native is now a North Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper. Trooper Jacob Walker had worked for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office before joining the Patrol.
