Ogema Farmer Receives USDA Grant

A farmer from Ogema has received a grant through the USDA’s Rural Energy for America Program.  Kevin Hoban received $208,034 to install an energy efficient grain dryer.  The project is expected to save $8600 annually in electricity costs.  Hoban was one of ten Minnesotans to receive clean energy grants.

Three Mahnomen Area Farmers Receive Energy Efficiency Grants

Three farmers in the Mahnomen area will be receiving grants from the Rural Energy for America program for renewable energy projects.  Dean Walz will receive $70,600 to buy and install a 40 kilowatt solar array for his dairy farm.  Patrick Noll will receive a $75,526 grant to buy and install an energy efficient grain dryer…
