There’s no place like the Judy Garland Museum
In our very own state of Minnesota, there is a museum located in Grand Rapids dedicated to the actress and singer most known for her role in the movie The Wizard of Oz: Judy Garland. The Judy Garland Museum will be holding their annual Festival from June 20th-23rd, and we had the opportunity to talk to Janie Heitz, who is the Executive Director at the museum, and she told us about the event AND the 5k run that’ll be held at the festival.
This festival has a lot to offer for everyone planning to attend.
Then, there’s also gonna be something new at this year’s festival.
So how did the festival get its start?
We then asked Janie Heitz how long she has been involved with the festival.
And this festival is an event that has a large variety of people who come from all over to attend.
Janie then expanded a little more on the Ruby Slippers that they are hoping to buy for the museum.
And speaking of ruby slippers, they’re not required for the 5k run correct?
So Janie Heitz makes sure to let people know about registration and where to find more information.
She also made sure to share the summer hours and tours for the museum.
And if you were wondering, yes there will be food.
