This Week is National FFA Week
Minnesota — This week, February 19th through the 26th, we celebrate National FFA Week. FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. As part of FFA Week, area chapters are hosting activities and dress up days to promote the organization and the skills it provides. For Hawley FFA President Wyatt Dunham, FFA has not only taught him how to lead, but how to be a team player as well.
The Leadership skills aren’t just given out, they’re earned. Fertile-Beltrami FFA President Emma Erickson says FFA providers her the right opportunities to step out of her comfort zone and into that leadership role.
Each school has their own flavor of how to celebrate FFA Week. Dunham says at Hawley they host dress up days and an annual fundraiser.
Climax-Shelly FFA President Trinity Erickson says at their school they close out the week with a petting zoo, which allows the elementary students to get up close and personal with the animals.
