This week is Week of the Young Child 

After a proclamation by Mayor John Hintz last month, it’s officially the Week of the Young Child, and the City of Ada is celebrating, by highlighting the important role child care plays in our local communities. Ada City Administrator Ashley Larson tells us what the week means for the city. 

Larson also spoke more on the importance of childcare for Ada EDA, and how they help bring child care to the area. 

R&J News also had the chance to talk with Karen Devos of Little Learners child care center in Ada, and she also told us what Week of the Young Child means to her and her team. 

Week of the Young Child typically runs during the first full week of April. It was first organized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
