Tips for a successful fishing opener
The Minnesota Fishing Opener is this weekend, and Nathan Olson of the Minnesota DNR Fisheries office out of Detroit Lakes is sharing some things you keep in mind for a successful opener. Olson says with the water still being very cold, you will want to look for shallow and/or flowing water, and he explains why.
Olson says you should also be looking to use slower presentations when it comes to lures and bait.
More information about the Minnesota fishing season can be seen on the Minnesota DNR website www.dnr.state.mn.us.
