Tom Lano signs on to KKCQ for the final time
He’s been the voice of Fosston Radio for over 40 years, but Monday marked the end of an era ,as it was the last time that listeners would turn on their radio in the morning, and not hear Tom Lano telling them about the latest news, sports, or weather conditions. R&J News had the chance to talk with Tom after his final day, and he says the Fosston Community has been an amazing community to serve over the years.
Lano also looks back on his career in Fosston, and the moments that have stood out.
When asked about his next stage in life as a retiree, Lano says his goal is to help bring a hockey team to his hometown of Park Rapids.
Lano also shared a final message to those listeners who have shown their support and tuned in over the years.
