Ulen, MN — The Top Hat Theatre in Ulen is back for its 17th season with another solid lineup of musical acts ranging from tribute acts to comedy to up and coming singer-songwriters. Top Hat Director Carrie Jirava joined the KRJB Kaleidoscope Program on Thursday to preview this year’s acts that will be taking the stage. Jirava notes that the Top Hat Theatre is done in partnership with the Ulen-Hitterdal School, who provides a great venue in the Barry J. Houglum Auditorium, to provide quality entertainment to the local folks.

The Top Hat Theatre kicks off 2022-2023 season with Forever Elvis, an Elvis Pressley tribute on Saturday, September 17th. Jirava says this will be a highly energetic, interactive show that is sure to bring a crowd, especially with the recent Elvis movie that just hit theaters.

Following the Elvis tribute, C Street Brass will take the stage on October 15th with a mix of classical, modern, and jazz brass music. Then the night before the deer hunting opener, Roll On: A Tribute to Alabama is sure to pack the house playing some of the band’s best hits.

Just in time for the holidays, a Top Hat favorite returns to capture the Christmas spirit. Jirava is pleased to welcome back Minnesota’s Keri Noble on December 2nd.

Following the new year, up and coming singer-songrwriter Andrew Salgado will perform on Friday, January 27th, followed next month by comedy hypnotist Lizzy on March 3rd. The 2022-23 season closes on Friday, May 5th with The String Showdown, an interactive dueling music show.

Jirava adds that these great musical acts would not be possible without the help of their “Friends of the Theatre” and she encourages the community to consider being a supporter if they aren’t already.

Single event tickets are $18 for adults or $10 for adults. Individual season tickets are $75 or $160 for a family. More information is available on the Ulen-Hitterdal school website.
