Traffic Stop yields drug bust for Cass County Sheriff’s Office

Sheriff Tom Burch reports that on November 26th 2022 at 6:49 PM, deputies with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Pine River Township, rural Backus MN. A K9 was utilized during the traffic stop investigation and approximately 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine was located during the search of the vehicle. The driver, Terry Foster, age 60 of Backus MN, was arrested on charges relating to Possession of a Controlled Substance and Driving under the Influence. Formal charges are pending and the investigation continues.
