Tuesday Afternoon Flooding Update
Here’s the latest on the flood situation across the region:
The Red River at Halstad continues to slowly recede. As of mid-afternoon, it’s at 33 and a half feet–seven and a half feet above flood stage. The National Weather Service expects the Red to keep receding, but very slowly, over the next week.
Checking the Wild Rice River at Hendrum, it’s just below 26 feet….making it still six feet above flood stage. It’s expected to continue receding for the next week.
Over in Climax, the Sandhill River is right at flood stage at 20 feet. That’s down almost a foot from its crest on Sunday and the Sandhill is expected to get below flood stage in the next 24 hours and continue to recede.
