Twin Valley City Council News & Notes from April 11th Meeting
Twin Valley, MN — The Twin Valley City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, April 11th at the Twin Valley Community Center where they addressed a citizen complaint, approved a liquor license request, accepted a donation, and more.
During the public comment portion of the meeting, an individual addressed the council about constant issues with drivers speeding and failing to stop at a stop sign in the northeast corner of town. Twin Valley Mayor Ben Fall says this area of town has been a common concern as of late and they are going to work with the police department to address it.
The council also reviewed and approved a 3.2 liquor license for the new owners of the bowling alley. However because 3.2 beer is becoming hard to come by, Mayor Fall says the council will be working on developing a regular beer license and transitioning the owners to that if they so chose.
And Mayor Fall was happy to report that the City had received a $1000 donation from the Kelly Thronson Memorial BBQ for parks improvements.
In other news from this week’s meeting, the Twin Valley City Council approved $100 donations to the Twin Valley Riders Club, a $500 donation to the Twin Valley Community Boosters, a membership renewal for the Mudslingers ATV Club, and set a date of May 9th for a public hearing in regards to the proposed Herold’s Court addition sewer project funding.
