Twin Valley, MN — The Twin Valley City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, July 11th at the Twin Valley Community Center. At the meeting they heard from the department heads, who are all working hard this week to prepare for the upcoming Town & Country Days this weekend. Twin Valley Mayor Ben Fall says from Public Works to the Fire Department, it’s all hands on deck this week getting ready for the annual town festival.

Under the Liquor Store report, the council got an update on the transition of the new manager. Mayor Fall notes that at a special meeting last month they approved promoting Assistant Manager Kendall Harrel to take over for Lori Skaurud.

The council on Monday night also approved a quote to conduct a survey on a portion of property near Otterson bridge. Mayor Fall notes its part of a bigger project to improve kayak and canoe access to the river east of town.

And the council gave the city hall staff the go-ahead to get quotes on some updates to the community center bathrooms and entry way.

The Twin Valley City Council meets next on August 8th.
