Twin Valley City Council News & Notes from May 9th Meeting
Twin Valley, MN — The Twin Valley City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, May 9th at the Twin Valley Community Center. At the meeting, the council accepted the resignation of the Twin Valley Liquor Store Manager Lori Skaurud, who has been the manager since May 2011. The council was aware that she had been planning to step down for a few months now and thanked for her years of good service to the city, according to Twin Valley Mayor Ben Fall.
The deadline to apply for the Twin Valley Liquor Store Manager position is May 31st.
The council also approved a design for the water tower, which is scheduled to get repainted this summer. Mayor Fall says it’ll be a similar design as it is now, but will match the school colors.
Also at this week’s meeting, the council accepted a $1,500 grant from Shock & Awe for their kayak launch, approved an intoxicating liquor license for You Betcha Bowling, and approved posting for a part-time police officer.
