Two Injured In Car-Semi Accident
Two people were injured, one seriously, after their car struck a semi Tuesday morning on I-29 in Fargo. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a semi was stopped on the right shoulder of Southbound I-29 with its warning lights on. At 11:15am, a 2021 Nissan Sentra driven by 23-year-old Rachel Krueger of Moorhead drove onto the shoulder and the right front corner of her car hit the left rear corner of the semi. Krueger sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital. Her passenger, 22-year-old Logan Fuller of New Castle, Indiana, had to be extricated from the car by the Fargo Fire Department and was taken to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The semi driver was not present at the time of the crash. Krueger has been cited for distracted driving and failure to stay in her lane; further charges are pending.
