Ulen-Hitterdal 5th graders take DARE classes
For almost 40 years, DARE has been part of school systems across the country, teaching young people about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. In Minnesota, all fifth graders are required to take DARE classes. Ulen-Hitterdal fifth grader Titan Schultz talks about the DARE class presented by Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Lee.
Richard Fatka, another Ulen-Hitterdal fifth grader, talks about the most recent DARE class.
Ulen-Hitterdal dean of students Jason Smith says there will be a DARE graduation party in the spring.
