United Way NE MN Babysitters Classes

United Way of Northeastern Minnesota is offering to local residents in the Chisholm area which we had the opportunity to speak with Crystal Royer all about.

She was first asked about what the training is all about and how it got its start.

Crystal talked a little more about the part that the babysitting classes play in their Bright Beginnings program.

So what are the classes that are being offered in the month of January?

Limited space remains for this winter’s American Red Cross in Minnesota babysitter trainings at UWNEMN’s building in Chisholm. These trainings are made available to local youth ages 11+ at no cost through our Bright Beginnings initiative, made possible with support from the Northland Foundation and the State of Minnesota.

Crystal also shares the importance and the goal of a class surrounding the necessary skills for babysitting.

With special thanks to Backus which helps allow them to do these lessons.

Crystal is even able to sit through and observe the classes herself, so she has a firsthand account of what the lessons are like.

There is potential for United Way to do more Babysitting classes and bringing them back to International Falls.
