Man Pleads Not Guilty To Murder In Iowa Interstate Death:
(Poweshiek Co., IA) — The man arrested with a dead body in his car along an Iowa interstate is pleading not guilty to murder charges. 23-year-old Jihad Gasaway is the defendant in the case. Iowa State Patrol troopers and Poweshiek County deputies arrested him after responding along I-80 near Grinnell on October 3rd. At the time, Gasaway had tried to enlist help from troopers to re-start his broken down car. That’s when officers noticed a dead man covered in discarded laundry slumped in the passenger seat. That man was identified as Kemp Herriel. He’d suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
