White Earth Secretary Treasurer addresses White Earth Nation 

White Earth Nation held their annual State of the Nation Address last weekend, and White Earth Secretary Treasurer Michael LaRoque was one of the five RBC members to reflect on the year, and lay out goals for the tribe moving forward. After the address, LaRoque spoke with R&J News and laid out the accomplishments from last year he was most proud of. 

As for his goals moving forward, LaRoque says keeping the Tribe financially stable is the ultimate goal, as it allows them to continue growing their programs. 

LaRoque says one program that they’d like to further expand and get more control over is their healthcare programs. 

The White Earth State of the Nation Address was held on Thursday Morning at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen.
