White Earth Tribe Meeting On Proposed Moorhead Casino
MAHNOMEN, MN—There’s going to be a meeting later this month about the White Earth Tribe’s proposed casino in Moorhead.
The White Earth Tribe has proposed building a casino and entertainment center at the intersection of Interstate 94 and State Highway 336 in Moorhead. The complex would cost over $175 million and include 950 gaming machines and ten table games, plus a 200 room hotel, a 15,000 square foot ballroom with additional meeting space, several dining options, bars, parking for a thousand cars and a 50 pad RV park.
The informational meeting will be Tuesday, September 15 at Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen. Appetizers will be served at 5:30 with the meeting starting at 6. White Earth tribal leaders and the casino project team will present information about the project and the Bureau of Indian Affairs’ Fee-To-Trust application process.
