Winter Storm and potential flooding concerns
4-4-23
Mahnomen, MN – The Mahnomen County snow clearing crew appears to have one more big clear coming with the Winter Storm that is beginning to bear down on the area. Mahnomen County Administrator CJ Holl says their new plow, nicknamed “Lil Salty”, has had plenty of time on the roads this winter, and the County is happy they got their hands on the new plow!
Meanwhile the City of Ada Public Works Director Brian Rasmussen will have the crews out to keep the roads passable during yet another winter storm. Rasmussen says he and the crew are also planning that when the snow melts after all is said and done, we will have a spring flood, but he is confident that with all the flood protections, the city of Ada shouldn’t have much to worry about.
Stay informed and we’ll keep sharing information as we work our way through this April Blizzard.
