Winterfest Provides Great Opportunity to Explore AELC
Fertile, MN — The Agassiz Environmental Learning Center in Fertile is providing free, fun, and safe outdoor recreation for community members this winter. Wayne Goeken, Executive Director of the Agassiz Environmental Learning Center says they have around 10 miles of cross country ski and snow shoe trails and they are in excellent condition!
If you’ve never been skiing or snowshoeing at the Agassiz Learning Center before, this Sunday’s Winterfest event would be a great time to try it out. The local ski club will be providing guided cross country ski and snowshoe tours. Sets of both will be available to borrow if you don’t own any.
In addition, Goeken says you can try your hand at some unique, cultural games and activities.
And a number of area clubs and organizations will have activity stations set up during Winterfest for guests to explore and learn.
The Agassiz Environmental Learning Center’s Winterfest is this Sunday, February 6th from 1-5pm.
