Women’s Empowerment Summit on Wednesday, September 28th
Ada, MN — Network with other women and leave with a more positive outlook during the Rural Women’s Empowerment Summit this Wednesday morning, September 28th at the Ada Events Center. The summit, which is being sponsored by REACH, will feature presentations from Monica McMonkley, a rural counselor with the University of Minnesota, and Dawn Chisholm, who will share her impactful story of losing her spouse in a farm accident and the hope, healing, and purpose she has found through this tragedy. Peggie Chisholm, ambassador for REACH, says the purpose of the Rural Women’s Empowerment Summit is to empower women through discussing the everyday stresses and struggles of rural and farm life together.
Monica McConkey, who grew up on a farm near Bejou, will share how we can change the messages we tell ourselves to be more successful at feeling happy, achieving goals, and having a positive outlook.
The Rural Women’s Empowerment’s Summit will get underway at 9:30am and run until approximately 11am on Wednesday, September 28th. Coffee and Desserts will be provided from Sugar Momma Bakery. No preregistration is required and there is no cost to attend.
