2nd annual ‘Paddle Your Glass Off’ hits the water Saturday

(Aitkin, MN) — Connecting the Aitkin Community and the vast river system that encompass the area for a fun summer activity is what lies ahead for the Aitkin Area Chamber of Commerce and their 2nd annual ‘Paddle Your Glass Off Event’ set for Saturday, June 25th.

In our chat with Chamber Executive Director Taylor Erickson the purpose of the event that highlights the recreation opportunities for river goers.

Cost is $25, which includes an all-inclusive experience even with tickets going fast.

The first part of the schedule the shuttle to the Kimball access launch site.

Once in the river, people cruise at their own pace.

After you reach the Aitkin Campground site, the tasting grounds will have options of beer, wine, and spirits from local vendors.

Erickson recommends that for those that do not have kayaks to be proactive in reserving a kayak before Saturday.
