41st Annual Rainy Lake Sports Fishing Club’s Ice Fishing Derby Only a Few Days Away

The 41st Annual Rainy Lake Sports Fishing Club Family Ice Fishing Derby and Raffle takes place this Saturday on Rainy Lake, and organizers say conditions should be excellent for a full day of family fun on the ice.

The derby runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at the main access near Rainy Lake Marine. Organizers say the event is designed for all ages and experience levels.

Families are encouraged to attend, with food available on the ice including hot dogs, brats, chili, cocoa, and coffee.

Raffle tickets are available around town for 20 dollars, with more than 100 prizes and thousands of dollars in cash to be awarded.
Organizers also remind participants to clean up after themselves and help keep Rainy Lake in good condition for future events.
