The 2024 Renaissance Festival offers all kinds of entertainment from music, to art, to even dance as performers from Minnesota show off their talents in very medieval fashion. One such experience you can have at the festival is The Feast of Fantasy, a dinner and show that is hosted by the hilarious comedic duo of Jim Cunningham and Laszlo Nemesi. Jim has been at the festival for 42 years, hosting the Feast of Fantasy for 34 years, and for Laszlo this was his 25th year at the Feast of Fantasy. Who were asked about the show and if there was a format they usually followed.

So how did they realize that they had such great chemistry with each other?

The Feast of Fantasy is a show that involves plenty of crowd interaction with very raunchy, more mature humor for it’s audience as they eat their food.

They were then asked a little more about the crowd interaction aspect of the show, and it’s effect.

And this is probably the best time to plan a trip out to the Renaissance Festival!

Another part of the Feast of Fantasy that makes it such a fun show is its involvement of the other acts at the fair.

We even had the pleasure of speaking to the Executive Director, Nan Miller of the Court Revelers (Huzzah!).

So how long have the Court Revelers (Huzzah!) been around?

Nan Miller then tells us about the process of joining the Court Revelers (Huzzah!).

So, did she herself start off as a singer before she became the executive director?

Nan Miller then tells us about the preparation put in by the Court Revelers.

And they don’t just perform at the Renaissance Festival.

They were then asked about their favorite performance that they’ve done.

Along with all of the singing acts, are also the dancers who perform at the Renaissance. The dancers who performed at the Feast of Fantasy was the Baratok Belly Dancers, and we had the opportunity to speak to Eri who has been belly dancing for quite a while.

They also have performances outside of the Feast of Fantasy.

She was then asked what she thinks is the audience’s favorite part about their shows.

Speaking of the sword dance, which is jaw-dropping, what’s the secret to balancing the swords on their head?

Eri was then asked how long her and the other girls (Danielle, Aria, Meghan, Abigail, and their drummer Brishan) have been performing together as a group.

And these performances must take a lot of rehearsing, right?

She was then asked her own favorite part, as the one performing the dances.

Another very important part of the Feast of Fantasy is handled by Katie Kline, which she tells us.

And it must be a lot of work for her to make sure every single show is sold out.

Jim Cunningham even hosts the Feast of Fantasy after the Renaissance Festival is over.
