Twin Valley Woman Sentenced
A woman from Twin Valley has been sentenced for her part in a fight at the Ulen-Hitterdal School in the fall of 2023. 36-year-old Sarah Green was convicted of harassment, violating a restraining order and two counts of fifth degree assault. On October 30, 2023, Clay County Deputies were called to a disturbance at the Ulen-Hitterdal School. When deputies arrived, they spoke to two people–one of whom had a restraining order against Green. A woman said she was at a concert at the school and Green began punching her in the face. Deputies confirmed the woman’s face was injured. The second person tried to intervene and said Green started punching them, as well. Video from the school confirmed that Green struck the two people.
On Wednesday, Green was sentenced to 90 days in the Clay County Jail. She received credit for two days served and the rest of her sentence was suspended. Green is now on two years supervised probation and will have to complete community service work in lieu of a $400 fine.
