Ada Borup West using Summer Vacation to prepare for READ Act changes
Back in 2023 the Minnesota Legislature passed the READ Act, with the goal to have every Minnesota child reading at or above grade level every year. The legislation has made many changes in education across Minnesota, and schools are continuing to see many changes come from it. Summer vacation is a great time for schools to plan for these changes, and Ada Borup West Superintendent Aaron Cook says his staff has been hard at work getting prepared, and he highlights some things that are changing due to the READ Act.
Summer vacation is also a great time to get some projects completed, and Cook says they have a couple projects happening on school grounds.
Cook was a guest on the KRJB Kaleidoscope, which airs weekdays at 9:00 AM on KRJB 106.5 FM.
