KOOTASCA Community Action Holding Assessment survey

KOOTASCA Community Action is asking Borderland residents to take part in its Community Needs Assessment survey, now underway through the end of March.
Planning and Development Director Nick Hanson says the survey helps guide how federal Community Services Block Grant dollars are used locally to address poverty.

Hanson says the funding is controlled locally, and the survey is a key tool in deciding how those dollars are spent.

The survey looks at issues like affordable housing, child care, behavioral health, and the rising cost of living. Nearly 300 responses have already been collected, but more are needed.

Households can complete the survey online at kootasca.org under the Community Needs Assessment tab. Participants can also enter a drawing for twelve 100-dollar gift cards and one 250-dollar grand prize. Community leaders interested in a separate leadership survey are encouraged to contact KOOTASCA directly.
