Three people are facing multiple charges following a drug trafficking investigation in Fort Frances.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police, along with several regional units, executed a warrant on March 27th, seizing fentanyl, methamphetamine, cash, and evidence of drug trafficking.
A 37-year-old Fort Frances man faces several charges, including trafficking, resisting a peace officer, and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order. Two others—a 36-year-old from Fort Frances and a 29-year-old from Couchiching First Nation—are also charged with drug trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
All three are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.

A quieter week at the Minnesota Legislature for veterans-related issues, with both committees not meeting and fewer bills advancing.
One key proposal, introduced by Jordan Rasmusson, would allow veterans of the Korean and Vietnam War eras to receive high school diplomas if they left school early to serve. The bill passed the Senate Education Policy Committee and now moves to the Agriculture and Veterans Committee.
Another measure from Susan Pha would extend limited benefits to veterans of the Secret War in Laos and create an application process. That bill cleared committee and heads to Transportation.
Meanwhile, the House Veterans and Military Affairs Division is set to meet this week, as legislative deadlines approach—meaning many bills could soon fall off the calendar if they don’t advance.
