USDA Acreage Reporting moving to digital format
The USDA One Farmer One File Initiative is continuing to move forward, and one aspect of this initiative has been the move to online acreage reporting. SDA Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation Richard Fordyce says the move to modernize acreage reporting is bringing many benefits to North Dakota farmers and ranchers who are piloting the program.
Fordyce says Phase One of One Farmer One File is moving very fast, and it’s saving farmers and ranchers a ton of office time.
Fordyce also explains what is included in phases two and three of the initiative, which are expected to be implemented over the coming year.
North Dakota is one of just two states (ND & Maryland) where every county is using the streamlined reporting system.
