NWHU Seeks Public Input into its Next Strategic Plan
Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) is developing a new Strategic Plan. The plan will guide public health services from 2023 to 2025 to ensure they continue to meet the goals and needs of our population.
The health unit is seeking public input into the strategic plan. To take part, please visit https://survey.alchemer-ca.com/s3/50142818/NWHU-Strategic-Planning-Survey. This survey is open until midnight on April 22, 2022.
“It is important that we hear from the people and communities that we serve about how we can do better to meet their needs. Public input allows us to identify community needs, assess our programs and services, and best serve our residents”, says Marilyn Herbacz, Chief Executive Officer of NWHU.
The previous strategic plan covered 2017 to 2020 and was extended until the end of 2021 because of the pandemic.
NWHU is working with LBCG – Consulting for Impact on its new plan. The group brings a vast range of experience in strategic planning including with public health and Indigenous agencies.
As the health unit works towards the recovery of its services, the new strategic plan will offer the chance to incorporate all they learned over the last few years. The new plan will set the agency up to rebuild and allow them to better serve the residents of northwestern Ontario.
