Mahnomen County Administrator Encourages Support in Legislature for Mahnomen Hospital Project
Mahnomen, MN — Only a few weeks remain in the Minnesota legislative session and that means only a few weeks remain for the House and Senate to pass a bonding bill, which Mahnomen County Administrator CJ Holl hopes will include funding for a new Mahnomen hospital. During a recent visit on the KRJB Kaleidoscope Program, Holl stated that the good news is that the project does appear to have bipartisan support from around the state.
In the meantime, Administrator Holl strongly encourages community members to reach out to their legislators and voice their support for the hospital if they want to see it happen.
The Mahnomen Hospital is owned by the city and county. They are seeking $16 million from the legislature, which would be half the cost of the new hospital build. The Minnesota legislature will remain in session until May 23rd this year.
