Ada Police to Have Increased Presence Around School
Ada, MN — With school returning to session next week, the Ada Police Department is asking motorists to be extra cautious and follow the rules of the road around town and specifically around the school. Interim Ada Police Chief Steve Hagar says they consistently have had issues with people not coming to a full stop at stop signs near the school, so they will have a visible presence during the first couple of weeks to hopefully serve as a reminder to motorists to come to a complete stop and look both ways.
And to avoid any conflicts, confusion, or crashes, Officer Hager asks parents and anyone visiting the school to pay attention to the signs and drop-off areas and slow down.
Along with a presence around the school, the Ada Police Department plans to have an increased presence in the school and interact more with students during lunch and other times.
