Aitkin School Board meeting from March 20th

The Aitkin School Board met Monday evening for their regular monthly meeting. High school student Seth Parkin spoke to the board about his work with the Northland Foundation’s “Youth in Philanthropy” Board:

The Aitkin School Board will hold their next regular board meeting on April 17th at 6:30pm from the Mille Lacs Trails Clubhouse

The Aitkin School Board met Monday evening for their regular monthly meeting. The Board accepted the resignation of Varsity Boys Basketball coach Scott Stanfield after 2 seasons leading the Gobblers. Aitkin Superintendent Dan Stifter elaborated on the request for four 1st grade classes next school year:

Stifter also provided more background on a professional services contract with ICS for renovating and expanding the high school tennis courts, including redoing the parking lot, adding more lot space, and adding a 10.5% commission to ICS for doing the work.  The cost will range from $600,000-$800,000. (Which was approved by the Board) The Aitkin School Board will hold their next regular board meeting on April 17th at 6:30pm from the Mille Lacs Trails Clubhouse
