Over 2,600 state flag and seal designs submitted to the State Emblems Redesign Commission.

The Minnesota State Emblems and Redesign Commission received over 2,600 state flag and seal redesigns as Minnesota continues to move forward in their goal of choosing a new state flag and state seal. 

The State Emblems and Redesign Commission say that State Flag redesigns made up 85% of total submissions with 2,123 total submissions. As for seal redesigns there were 398 total submissions. 

The commission says that they will be selecting five submissions for each the new state seal and state flag. After five seals and flags the commission will select  one design (or a modified version) to be utilized as the basis for each emblem.

The state flag and seal submission deadline was October  30, 2023.
