Ada-Borup-West School Board Approves New Football Scoreboard
Ada, MN — The Ada-Borup-West School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday morning, February 14th, where they approved purchasing a new football scoreboard and sound system improvements to their gym and auditorium.
The board reviewed and approved quotes from AIM electronics for a new 8 by 18ft scoreboard and a 4 1/2 by 13ft full color video board for the football and track complex. The cost for the new scoreboard was just shy of $80,000, but Ada-Borup-West Superintendent Aaron Cook says they’ve had a lot of interest and support from the community that has allowed them to move forward with the upgrade.
The Ada-Borup-West School Board also examined proposals for new sound systems for the gym and auditorium. Superintendent Cook says their current sound systems are inadequate for their needs.
The cost for the new sound system in auditorium was $110,000 and the new gym sound system was $47,000.
Also at this week’s meeting, Cook provided an update on the legislative session. He says there’s been a lot going on in a short amount of time.
The Ada-Borup-West School Board also approved their spring coaches and approved hiring Bob Mundt, Jennifer Tennehill, and Sharilyn Bohe as paraprofessionals.
