Ada-Borup-West School Board Holds Special Meeting on Tuesday Morning
Ada, MN — The Ada-Borup-West School Board held a special meeting on Tuesday morning, May 17th to continue discussions in regards to an extended leave of absence request for Special Education Teacher Lisa Thompson. Due to an unfamiliarity with the request, which was an estimated 3-5 years, the board tabled their action at their regular meeting last week until Superintendent Aaron Cook returned from a personal leave. Cook says they went over the requirements of the extended leave of absence and ultimately approved it for up to 3 years.
COVID and consolidation were the hot topics at the beginning of the year, and with the school year wrapping up, Superintendent Cook reflects back on what he feels has been a very successful year despite the challenges.
And heading into the summer, Cook previews some of the upcoming projects and priorities for the district.
The next Ada-Borup-West School Board meeting is set for Thursday, June 16th.
