Halstad, MN — With the rising costs of shells and clays, the Ada-Bourp-West Trap Team is hoping to help offset some of those costs and continue to grow the program with their first ever Mixed Stag Fundraiser this Saturday, November 19th at the Halstad LRC. The Ada-Borup-West Trap Team has seen the price of shells double over last year and because of that most of their funding for the year has already been used up. Coach Doug Slininger says this event was a necessity to make sure all athletes in the program had the opportunity to compete.

Slininger adds that just like any other sport, practice is a critical piece to getting better. However, unlike most other sports, each practice costs more money, which is why it’s so important for them to be able to properly fund their program.

The Trap Team fundraiser will feature a Pork Chop Dinner, cash prizes, and numerous raffles throughout the night. Support has been tremendous from the community, which has resulted in the selling out of all 250 available tickets for the event. Slininger thanks the parents and the community for their support for the program.

While tickets are sold out, those still interested in attending for the meal, may still be able to attend. The Ada-Borup-West Trap Team Mixed Stag gets underway at 6pm this Saturday at the Halstad LRC.
