Agassiz Environmental Learning Center Hosting Summerfest
Fertile, MN — The Agassiz Environmental Learning Center is celebrating the start of summer as well as their 30th anniversary with Summerfest this weekend at the Nature Center west of Fertile. Summerfest will feature fun activities, opportunities to explore and learn, food, and show appreciation for their many volunteers. The volunteer recognition dinner kicks off Summerfest on Friday, June 3rd, which Stacey Erickson with the city of Fertile is the least they can do to back to the volunteers who keep the Nature Center up and running.
Along with many fun activities throughout the day on Saturday at the Nature Center, including axe throwing, nature displays, and hiking, Erickson welcomes visitors to join them in a special Raptor Center program on Saturday afternoon at the Fertile Community Center.
Sunday is “Recreation Day” at the Agassiz Environmental Learning Center, where guests can go on guided hikes throughout their many trails in the Sandhills and potentially navigate the area waters.
